Terms of service
The agreement between you and SwiftHaul when you book a pickup-truck job in Winnipeg. Last updated 4 November 2026.
Who you are dealing with
SwiftHaul ("SwiftHaul", "we") operates this booking service in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Business address: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Email: [email protected].
These terms, the privacy policy and the cancellation and damage policies form part of every booking. The version shown when you book is the version that applies.
The service
SwiftHaul connects you with a local driver who collects a load and delivers it. We offer six job types: store pickup, Marketplace pickup, job-site run, junk removal, donation drop and scrap appliance removal.
Every price is fixed before you book. The price covers the base job, distance beyond the included kilometres, the load size, any add-ons you chose and GST. Waiting beyond the free window is charged per minute when the job finishes.
Furniture, mattresses, drywall and electronics travel only in a covered truck. Loads that need straps or chains are secured before the truck moves.
Your account
You need an account to book. You are responsible for the accuracy of the contact details on it and for keeping your password to yourself.
You may close your account at any time from the account page. Closing it removes your personal details; see the privacy policy for what is kept and why.
Price, currency and payment
- Prices are in Canadian dollars and are itemized before you book: each charge, the pre-tax total, GST at 5%, and the total you pay.
- GST is included in the amount shown on the booking confirmation. Manitoba retail sales tax is not charged on these services.
- No delivery, handling or insurance fee is added at checkout beyond the lines shown.
- Your card is authorized when you book and captured when the job is completed. A cancelled job is voided, not charged.
- Card payments, payouts and refunds are processed by a licensed payment provider. We never store full card numbers.
Booking, drivers and timing
An on-demand booking is offered to one nearby eligible driver at a time for 60 seconds. If nobody accepts, the job stays open and we either keep looking or contact you.
Scheduled jobs are dispatched shortly before the window you chose, not at the moment you book.
On-demand jobs aim to have a driver at your door within the hour. That is a target, not a guarantee: weather, traffic and driver availability can move it. If we miss the window and you no longer want the job, cancel it for a full refund.
Service area
We serve Winnipeg city limits only. Pickup and drop-off addresses outside the service area are refused at the quote stage. Brandon and Steinbach are not served yet.
What we will not carry
- Hazardous waste and dangerous goods, including asbestos, propane, fuel, solvents, paint thinner, pesticides, ammunition, medical waste, compressed gas and lead-acid batteries.
- Refrigerant appliances (fridges, freezers, air conditioners) until a certified removal partner is in place.
- Loads heavier than 900 kg, which is more than a half-ton pickup may legally carry. Split the load or contact us for a larger truck.
- Items that are illegal to move, or that need a permit or licence we do not hold.
Your load
Describe the load accurately and photograph it when asked. If the load at the curb does not match the booking, the driver may stop and ask us to re-price or cancel the job before loading.
Do not leave cash, jewellery, documents or irreplaceable items in a load. Our damage cover is limited and does not extend to those items.
Cancelling and refunds
You may cancel free of charge until the load is in the truck. Once loading has started the job cannot be cancelled, because the driver is already carrying your goods.
The cancellation and refund policy sets out the detail, including your statutory rights under Manitoba's Consumer Protection Act.
Damage
Loads are covered against loss or damage caused by our driver up to $1,000 per job, subject to the damage policy. Open a claim from the job within 48 hours of delivery.
Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under Manitoba consumer law that cannot be waived.
Liability
We are responsible for the service we sell. We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, road closures, or a customer who is not ready at the pickup or drop-off.
Our liability for loss or damage to a load is limited to the damage cover described above, except where the law does not allow that limit.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version in force when you book governs that booking, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the laws of Canada that apply there.
